This flag indicates that there is something mechanically wrong with your car, pull in to the pits immediately and see an official
When pointed at you this flag indicates there are faster cars behind you that should be allowed to pass, check your mirrors and signal them ahead at the next authorized passing zone
An ambulance, service vehicle, or slow moving car is on track, take care and proceed with caution
Something affecting the safety of the event has occurred, stop quickly and safely by moving to the edge of the track surface immediately while being mindful of the cars around you and remain stopped in your car until directed otherwise
The run group is over, proceed around the track more slowly to cool your engine and brakes and return to the pits / paddock, no passing allowed
If stationary at more than one station then all cars must proceed to pit lane immediately, no passing allowed, if the black flag is pointed at you please proceed to pit lane immediately
This flag indicates a slippery surface condition exists or that debris is present on course
Stationary: There is a potential hazard near or on the track ahead of you, slow down, no passing allowed
Waving: There is a hazard in front of you, slow down and be prepared to take evasive action, no passing allowed
Track is clear and session is underway
